TOTAL NM (Teaching Outdoors To All Learners in New Mexico) is a non-profit that supports daily equitable and accessible outdoor learning for all students in New Mexico by providing spaces for relationship building, professional development, and resource sharing.

Investing in People

Outdoor equity is not achieved through infrastructure alone. It is achieved through relationships, leadership development, and daily practice.

Educator & Community Support

We’ve supported over 500 educators and partner with dozens of organizations in navigating how to implement daily outdoor learning through the NM Outdoor Classrooms Framework. We offer ongoing virtual workshops and co-designed resources, completely free of charge.

Our Work

Our work sprouted from recommendations in Every Kid, Every Kid, Every Day in 2020, and with our community partners, we continue to co-create strategies and systems to achieve our mission. Over 6,000 youth have had outdoor experiences led by TOTAL NM trained educators.
